Lloyd Kaufman has always been a few steps ahead of the rest of us. He’s been making cutting edge films of the future for over 35 years now. He along with his partner, Michael Herz, created the truly last independent movie studio left, Troma Entertainment. Troma has created some of the most disturbing, hilarious, deviant, bizarre films in cinematic history. Their films have influenced the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Eli Roth, James Gunn, and creators of comedy central’s South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Troma’s latest film, Poultrygiest, is arguably ithe single greatest independent cult film of all time. Lloyd’s a very friendly fellow, warm, polite, sincere and hilarious. Below is a very candid interview that the Mondo Film & Video Guide conducted with Lloyd in May, 2010.
