Troma has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help secure the highest billed star of their upcoming feature Return to Class of Nuke’ Em High! Kevin the Wonder Duck, who will be working closely with the film’s other stars, Catherine Corcoran and Asta Paredes, is a diva, who requires a companion duck, an expensive trainer, deluxe accommodations, special travel arrangements and wi-fly, among other things. Troma’s Duckstarter campaign will raise money to keep the talented acting duck in the luxury to which he has become accustomed, while the Troma humans must sleep on the floor, eat cheese sandwiches three times a day and learn how to defecate in a paper bag in order to make art. Backers will receive prizes including roles in the film, set visits and signed DVDs and posters. Return to Class of Nuke ‘Em High is a satirical sci-fi comedy concerning idealistic students, overcoming bullying, and love triumphing over prejudice. The themes are in the same vein as other 80’s cult classics such as The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Carrie, seen through the unique vision of the Troma Team. The film follows the story of a young couple that are up against the school glee club. Unfortunately, the glee club has mutated into a gang called The Cretins. When the other students begin to undergo mutations, our couple must solve the mystery and save Tromaville High School.
