Lloyd Kaufman, creator of The Toxic Avenger and the Troma Team will be appearing in person this weekend at The 30th Annual Dragon Con in Atlanta, Georgia. Kaufman will be posing for photographs and signing autographs for free all weekend alongside the beloved Toxie, it was announced today by Elizabeth D’Ambrosio, spokesperson for Troma Entertainment.
Dragon Con, in its 30th celebrated year (and Kaufman’s relationship and friendship with Dragon Con goes way back there as well!) is unique in that it fuses many interests for convention-goers, combining both the movie and literature world of science-fiction and fantasy alongside gaming and the growing world of Cos-Play.
Toxie sez: “Lloyd Kaufman, my creator needs a shave! But he signs for free and gives free photo-ops!”
Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma Team, including Toxie and the World-Famous Super-Tromettes will be appearing in the Troma Booth which will be located on Floor 1 of the Exhibit-Mart 1404.
Lloyd Kaufman will be presenting his secrets and unique insight on the business of filmmaking as well as the creative process throughout the convention weekend. The director and president of 42 year old Independent Film Company Troma Entertainment will be featured on three panels on topics including a Tromatic POV on Film Business, Filmmaking Tips and How to Sell your Script!

On three separate panels, Lloyd Kaufman will be imparting his filmmaking secrets and wizardry to Dragon-Con attendees all weekend!
Along with celebrity appearances, the Troma booth will be selling rare collectors items, movies on DVD and Blu-Ray and new, convention exclusive garments and merchandise. Among the exclusive merchandise is a limited edition skateboard deck printed with an original image from the first Toxic Crusaders comic and a new variety of iron-on patches that feature Troma stars Toxie and Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD.
Fresh new Troma T-Shirts will be available at Dragon-Con, featuring Oakland based contemporary artist Skinner’s Toxie design
Other new items available at Dragon Con includes a 5-color print t-shirt and an enamel pin of The Toxic Avenger, designed by Oakland based self-taught artist Skinner. Skinner has shown his work all over the world in various museums, galleries and universities as well as in public spaces through his large format murals. Skinner’s designs and artwork have been celebrated and published by contemporary art magazines including Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, and Beautiful Decay among a number of European publications.
