While embarking on his journey to Cannes Film Festival for the World Premiere of Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High AKA Vol.2, Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger, and Toxie will be special guests in Lisbon, Portugal to attend a Troma Tribute by Filipe Melo including screenings of The Toxic Avenger and Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol.1 at Lisbon’s most prestigious venue Espaço Nimas on May 17th, it was announced today by Levi White, Director of Public Relations at Troma Entertainment, Inc.

“I am honored to be a special guest for this TROMAZING Tribute event and thank Felipe Melo for putting this together, he’s a true talent! In addition to the screenings I’ll be scouting locations in Lisbon for my upcoming sequel to Poultrygeist, Poultrygal.” stated Lloyd Kaufman.

This Tromatic Troma Tribute is being presented by famous Portuguese jazz musician, film director, and comic book writer, Felipe Melo. An accomplished pianist, Melo is a true Renaissance Man as he also writes comic books and is a film director. His series of graphic novels, The Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizzaboy, were published by Tinta-da-China and Dark Horse Comics and feature a foreword by Lloyd Kaufman. In addition to his accomplishments in music and comic books, Melo’s award winning short, I’ll See You in My Dreams, is considered to be the first Portuguese zombie movie.

The films will be shown at the Espaço Nimas on May 17th. This theater has become a cornerstone in Portugal’s cinematic history, as it has screened several internationally acclaimed films since its inception in 1993.

21:30 – Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol.1, followed by a Q&A with Lloyd Kaufman
