“The Toxic Avenger: The Musical” Back to NYC for a Reunion Concert June 8, at 54 Below!

The Troma Team is proud to announce that The Toxic Avenger: The Musical, winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, comes to 54 Below for a special one-night-only concert reunion, Monday June 8. Cast members from all of its incarnations (Off-Broadway, Alley Theatre, George Street Playhouse) will be part of this tromusical extravaganza.
See American’s Idol Constantine Maroulis as everybody’s favorite hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength, the Toxic Avenger.
Based on Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman’s 1984 homonymous film, The Toxic Avenger features book, music and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan. After the New York premiere, April 2009, The New York Times called the production “exuberantly silly”, while New York Post called it “hilariously funny”. Six years after, The Toxic Avenger comes back to New York.
Constantine Maroulis and Mara Davi played Toxie and Sarah, his blind love interest, at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas
