At the Savannah Film Festival , Lloyd ran into Sarah Gavron and got a chance to see her new film, Suffragette, starring Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep. The film is very powerful and affecting, especially in light of the current battle over women’s rights.
It can be seen in NYC at the Landmark Sunshine and Loews Lincoln Sq 13 and in LA at the Hollywood Arclight and The Landmark. Suffragette is well-worth checking out and will no doubt be a big part of film conversation in the coming months.
