Lloyd Kaufman’s regurgitation of THE?TEMPEST is crazy, wildly disrespectful, innovative and funny, though The Bard of Avon may be turning over in his grave for #SHAKESPEARES SHITSTORM by the studio that brought us THE TOXIC AVENGER. Nevertheless, in this chaotic, wacky world with so much suffering and loss, we need to have some wild fun too. And as Shakespeare himself wrote: “Misery acquaints a man with strange bedfellows.”

In the late 1960’s, Lloyd Kaufman was enrolled at Yale University, diligently working on a respectable degree in Chinese Studies. “At Yale, I was placed in a dormitory room with two film fanatics, and I knew everything had irrevocably changed.” Kaufman was infected with a love of movies from which he never recovered.
